Metamorphosis -- Art by Inge Vandormael Type: Music/Arts - Exhibit Start Time: Sunday, May 9, 2010 at 2:00pm End Time: Friday, June 4, 2010 at 5:00pm Location: Lafayette Grill and Bar Street: 54 - 56 Lafayette Street -- Between Broadway & Lafayette -- New York Description Change is certain. We are finite beings. Death is a part of life. At first glance, these seem to be simple statements. The questions they cause however, have formed the basis for all human conflict and progress since we began. Simple statements mask a deeper reality few of us have the courage to explore. This is not the case with artist Inge Vandormael. Inge uses skillfull draftmanship and a designer's aesthetic sensibility to confront the difficult questions on our behalf. A warm and organic palette shields us from the blast of the unknown until we're strong enough to face it ourselves. When we are ready. she guides us with a clear, and at times, visual delicate language that is marked by the presence of physical resilience. An acute awareness of the natural order of living things characterizes Inge's work. Symbols of life and of death are masterfully balanced to recall the equilibrium that is seen in the life cycles of all living things. She invites us to see a natural world that is constantly creating and destroying itself right before our eyes. This is the act of transformation. Inge shows us that change is certain but not easy, though in the end we are better for it David Senecal Columbus, Ohio December 2006.

The Internet is like alcohol in some sense. It accentuates what you would do anyway. If you want to be a loner, you can be more alone. If you want to connect, it makes it easier to connect.
I am so in the contemporary art. I believe, that this poster is one of postmodern collages that bring the new sense to old symbols.
